Cookie policy

What we store on your device, why, and how to change it.

Last updated 23 August 2026

The short version

This site runs no advertising and no cross-site tracking. What we store falls into three groups: a small number of items strictly necessary to make the site work, an optional preference, and — if enabled for your session — a live chat widget and aggregate analytics.

Strictly necessary

These cannot be switched off, and no consent is required for them under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations because the site cannot deliver the service you asked for without them.

Session and security
Keeps a signed-in operations user authenticated and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Expires when you close the browser, or after the session times out.
Rate limiting
Counts recent tracking lookups from your connection so the reference lookup cannot be brute-forced. Held in memory against your IP address, not written to your device.

Preferences

fastwave:theme
Stores your choice of the light or dark theme in local storage, so the site does not flash the wrong one on every navigation. Set only when you use the theme control; if you never touch it, we follow your operating system's setting and store nothing. It never leaves your device.

Analytics and live chat

Where a live chat provider is configured, it sets its own cookies to keep your conversation attached to you across pages, and it is the controller of that conversation under its own privacy policy. Where analytics are configured, they measure page views and referrers in aggregate; we do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not join them to your shipment records.

Neither is essential. Declining them costs you the chat window and costs us some traffic figures; nothing else on the site changes.

Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data, usually under privacy settings, and lets you do it for one site alone rather than all of them. Blocking the strictly necessary items will break sign-in and form submission; blocking the rest will not.

Clearing site data for this domain also clears the theme preference, after which the site follows your operating system again.
